Ingredients

1 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

½ teaspoon sea salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Optional: ½ teaspoon liquid smoke for extra depth


Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low.
  3. Simmer uncovered for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.

  5. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Transfer to a glass jar or squeeze bottle. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
